Hiking

I don't really have any story or exciting things to tell about these pictures. We went for a hike on Monday afternoon to a small little lake in the mountains above Wenatchee. It was a beautiful day and a beautiful hike.
I just have such handsome boys that I thought I would post a few pictures.......

My handsome and filthy baby in his belly shirt! He wears this shirt several times a week and even though it's getting too small, I can't get him to stop wearing it. I guess it will just have to disappear from his closet.

My handsome BIG boy, always throwing rocks and sticks. His shoes (his newest ones!) got covered in mud....ugh!

My handsome first born! Again with the shirt.....I think I posted another picture of him with this shirt on while we were hiking!

My handsome husband! He's just plain awesome!
I have 4 wonderful men in my life!

First Day of (Home) School

The boys have been anticipating this day for some time now. About a month ago we picked up a few more books at Costco for my curriculum writing and Jacob said "I want to start learning right now!" They have seen their friends all head back to public school two weeks ago and didn't care one bit that they were not going.
We postponed starting because of a friend that was visiting for a week, but during that time, the boys wrote, directed, made costumes for and performed a play. It was super cute, unfortunately I didn't take any pictures or video.
So finally, today came. We all have yucky head colds but we tackled the first day anyway. We are learning about families this week and had fun exploring the history of our family and making family trees. I worried about trying to work with all three at once, but today was smooth. We'll see how the rest of the week plays out.

So, here are our "school pictures". We plan to take nicer ones to mail to people, maybe outdoors, and in clothes that don't have lunch on them, but this was our first day and we had a good one.

Of course each boy had to do a silly and a serious picture.......

Samuel, the third grader

Jacob the first grader

Braden the preschooler

My crazy, cute, funny, smart, darling boys! It's going to be a fun year!

I seem to be on a once a month blog roll....summer is never really relaxing and slow like you think it will be. Maybe now that we are getting into a regular daily routine, I will post more regularly (can't promise though).
