Toothless Brothers

While we were at my parents house at the end of April, Jacob lost his first top tooth. It was quite a struggle. The thing was hanging by a string and it was moving all over his mouth but he would not let me pull it out. One day when he was actually letting me try, he got distracted by Aunt Jamie walking in the room and I just yanked it out.

Then last week he lost his second top tooth and Samuel's second one came out the next day.

We love listening to them talk and struggle with "s" and "f" sounds. They just look and sound so cute!
We are pretty sure that Jacob is going to have the big Haley teeth....he's got a big hole to fill in and his bottom two are pretty large. Samuel may not have those huge Haley choppers....maybe more like Daddy's teeth. We'll see!

Not Very Good With Pictures Lately

We have had several events in the past month that we have forgotten to take the camera for.....oops.

The boys and I spent a week and a half at my parents new house and since I didn't have my camera with me I used theirs. I'll post some pictures of that trip when they get those copied to me (not a hint Mom and Dad).
The most important one is of Jacob with his front top tooth missing. Yes, he finally lost it! It should have come out long before it actually did but he was terrified to have me pull on it. I'll tell the full story when I post that picture.

I would have loved to post some of our hike yesterday too but will just have to remember to take the camera if we go back out next week!

One more funny thing that Luke reminded me about Mother's Day. When Samuel woke up, he came down and climbed in bed next to me. He said "Happy Mother's Day Mom" then paused for a moment and said "I was going to make you a card or something but decided it would be a waste of my time."

WOW, thanks! At least he's honest right?

A Beautiful Mother's Day

I couldn't have asked for a better Mother's Day than yesterday! My celebration of being Mommy actually started on Saturday. After we finished helping Luke at a festival, he took us all out to dinner at a great Mexican restaurant. After that he and the boys surprised me with my Mother's Day gift.....a foot massager!
I LOVE IT....I have used it 3 or 4 times already!

The boys woke me up with Happy Mother's Day wishes and a gift that Jacob had made me at school. You can see the "puzzle pin" he made in the pictures. Most of you probably know I am not a big jewelry person but when my boys make me something and say that it is perfect for wearing to church, I'm going to wear it proudly!
After church and lunch we drove up river for a hike to enjoy the beautiful weather.
I ended the day by relaxing and watching a movie with Luke.

My three handsome boys! A little squinty, but the sun was SO bright we couldn't help it.

You can't have a house full of boys and expect perfect smiley pictures all the time.....you have to be a little silly ( as unattractive as a silly face may look on a 34 year old!)

Thank you to my boys and my wonderful husband for blessing me as a Mom! I love you all so much!
