In all of our busyness, I have not done a good job of taking pictures or blogging.
We have had so many things going on; short trips, camping, company, kettle corn events, church activities and lots of staying cool (mostly swimming in the river) but I only have pictures from one kettle corn event. They will have to do for now and as we gear up for another trip to So. Ore. for REACH, and then the beginning of school (homeschool for all three this year! I'll explain in another post), I'll try to do a better job of taking pictures again.
We did a concert event in Ephrata a few weekends ago. It was a two day, so we camped in a park close by for one night. It was a great event. We all enjoyed the variety of bands, local and from around the NW. Some of the jazz groups were excellent! The headlining group for Saturday night was Smashmouth. It was pretty amazing to see how many people a small town in Central WA could pack into a little park for a big group.
Our location was great. It was a hot couple of days so we were glad to have a spot to the side of the stage with lots of grass and trees for shade.

The boys played with squirt bottles to keep cool. We just had to constantly remind them to stay away from other people!
My sweet, sweaty baby! He was so tired on the second day that he fell asleep under the table where Luke had put a pool floatie for the boys to have another shady place to sit.
The entire left side of his body was drenched in sweat when he woke up....don't know why but he insisted on using covers!
Relaxing a little in the shade. I'm pretty sure they are playing with toothpicks here, trying to do Papa's little Dutch boy trick.
We purchased a portable DVD player so that when we have long events like this, the boys can relax and watch a movie for something quiet once in a while. Unfortunately (but really we are ok with it) we got a defective one and it kept freezing up part way through the movie. We took it back to Costco when we got home and haven't replace it yet.....might not, but it was good to have for that one event.Again, I'll try and do better this time around and it won't be the beginning of September before I put something else up here.
Stay cool!
